This is such a great little restaurant! The food was excellent, the portions were big, the service was wonderful, and even the customers were hospitable. It's got that home town feel. Oh and the prices, cannot be beat!

The place I go for breakfast on Orcas. The breakfast burrito is excellent! Almost makes me want to catch an early boat there tomorrow just to have it again. I live in Friday Harbor.

This place had great food and good prices. Friendly staff and a nice setting. Would go again if ever on Orcas again.

We had breakfast here today and it was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. My wife and I both had omelets and they were generous in size and everything tasted fresh. The hash browns were crispy ( a must!) and the toast was very hearty whole wheat. The coffee was good and the service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this establishment for a pleasurable relaxing breakfast.

Go here now! Best breakfast we have had possibly ever. I do not say this lightly. I had a breakfast burrito that was delicious and seemed to be sent down from heaven. There is also something in their waffles that is fabulous and makes them taste incredible. Even though the person at the cash register was extremely rude both on the phone and in person and to other customers right in front of me, our server was so friendly and polite and the food was so amazing that I am still giving it 5 stars.

I like this restaurant the best of all we ate at...friendly staff, GREAT food.

The service certainly left something to desire. From the half-hearted greeting to the forgotten requests for an extra water and some creamer for coffee, it was pretty lackluster. The only redeeming quality was the large portions. Maybe consider somewhere else for breakfast.

The staff was very polite and efficient, getting our food out to us in less than 5 minutes, and it tasted amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for a great breakfast and doesn't want to wait around too long.

Love this place. Perfect for breakfast while almost everything by is closed. Get your breakfast for $8-10. They charge additional 20% if your group is 5 or more. It is not child friendly though they have highchairs. And the guy at the front desk made my day. He is gloomy and antisocial in a funny way that makes you smile and feel sorry for the poor guy.

Breakfast done right in Eastsound on Orcas Island! I had the Western Omelet, my sweetie the Swiss Omelet, and two MOUNDS of food arrived that were perfectly assembled and cooked! YUM! Price was reasonable, and the service very pleasant, too. We will definitely be back!

Best deal on orcas. Service is acceptable for the quality and cost. Hard to find better hashbrowns. They Have Breakfast burrito that feeds two, prefer the sausage usually hot and ready all the way through lunch. Breakfast all day. Not open Monday tuesday.

How do you overcook eggs Benedict but serve it cold. Same goes for the cold but burnt coffee. There were spider webs and dead flies all over the window sill, makes you wonder about the kitchen. Wild not eat here, go to Rose's across the street.

I had eggs Benedict's with smoke salmon instead of the traditional black ham, sides of avocado and bacon. It was heavenly delicious. The variety of subs was a unique experience. We are definitely coming back. Highly recommended a must try dine-out experience.

They don't allow dogs in the outdoor seating area at all...The worker was super awkward/rude about it too, said WA state law prohibits dogs even in outdoor seating. I've lived in WA my whole life and never heard that before. Go to Mia's instead, it's a 2 min walk from Island Skillet and they have no problem with dogs at their outdoor seating.

We enjoyed our time on the outdoor patio while eating delicious breakfast food with coffee. Island skillet has fair prices and professional service.

the food was great... table for two didn't have to wait long... that being said, I came here specifically to watch customers get treated like garbage. owner/host you are my spirit animal. i watched this guy literally laugh in a kids face when he had the audacity to ask how much longer the wait was. I quote "You are waaaay down there! HA how much longer? That's a good one, I've never heard that one before." continues maniacal laugh as teens begrudgingly leave with heads hung low... I say these things with the most tongue and cheek tone as possible. the host felt a little like an insult comic.

This is my favorite breakfast place in the world! The portions are bigger than their mainland counterparts. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and one of the few places I can afford to take my children out to dine. Expect a short wait on weekends but don't fret.....this team of breakfast pros will have you seated and drinking coffee before you know it. You'll love the variety of hot sauces available to sample. And your children will love the mountain of whip cream served on their hot cocoa!

Get the chorizo scramble!! This place was so lovely. Great staff. Great drip coffee. Tasty hot sauces.

Great food at great prices and they dont mess around with portion sizes! Staff is super accommodating and the whole place offers that small town, friendly customer service feel. Perfect spot for our brunch before the whale watching tour.

My friend and I had a very strange experience here. We walked in, saw empty tables, and asked for a table for 2. The man at the counter asked us to take a seat in the waiting area. A little surprised (but in no way cranky or upset) we said "Oh, is there a wait?" and he replied, in a very unnecessarily snarky tone "there's ALWAYS a wait". Okay, dude, fine. So we peacefully sat and waited, and 10 minutes later he seated us at a table that had been empty since we walked in. Then, while we enjoyed our meal, he sat every single other party immediately after they entered the place. So, the food was your standard diner fare (perfectly tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary) and we enjoyed ourselves just fine. But we never did figure out what that weird twilight zone moment was at the beginning where the guy wouldn't seat us and was all in our faces about waiting for no apparent reason whatsoever. I will not return here.

Had an omelette with hash browns and coffee, food was pretty good, coffee was amazing. Service was excellent. Portions and quality were proportionate to price, so a great value overall.

One of the tastiest breakfast burritos I've had. Potato, not rice! Chorizo for the win. Great staff! They have a "secret"stash of Dave's Insanity ghost pepper hot sauce in back. I will be back.

I had the pancakes. I'm sure they have better food but the pancakes weren't that great.

Good breakfast options and laid back atmosphere

Very popular joint, it appears, but our wait to be seated wasn't long at all. Prices are fair. Food mostly isn't "bundled" into huge meals, so I didn't feel insane getting a breakfast burrito and a french toast to split with the wife. The breakfast burrito was absolutely fantastic. Perfect execution with hashbrowns, cheese and bacon, and ranks among the best-prepared breakfast foods I have ever eaten I craved another one all day and want one now just thinking about it days later. The place was fully staffed by dudes, as far as I could tell. Not that it matters much but not sure I've ever seen that in a restaurant. Chill atmosphere, sunny dining area has lots of windows.

Breakfast/food = Solid. Had the Western Omelette (good portions) for under $10 and Chef's Omelette. Service = just ok. Greeted with a remark saying that it s a 10 min wait when there was an empty table in front that just needed to be cleared. When we said "it s ok" and stepped out to go walk around, the guy said if you aren't back in 5 mins you'll loose your table. Well, good morning to you too! When we sat down, I asked the waiter what s good (pointing at the menu), he said to me, the food and the service. Not much of a service if you don't even want to recommend anything to me to help me out. Redeeming features were that the food came out quickly and the bill came quickly. Cleanliness = mediocre. My "clean" fork had a clump of food on it. The mug and water glass had a milky taste even though I was drinking water.I'm giving the place 4 stars because I would go back for the food.

There was a bit of a wait. They had a packed house. We realized why when we got our hearty and sizzling hot breakfasts served on a iron skillet. Worth the wait! They kept the coffee coming and not only substituted more spinach instead of hash browns, but they adjusted the price down. Highly recommend if you want traditional homestyle food.

My famiily stopped here on the way to taking our daughter Camp Orkilla. There was a short line, but the reviews said it was good. We were seated after a 20 min wait and had a great meal. The French toast with strawberries and whipped cream was my daughters favorite. My wife enjoyed her skillet scramble and my breakfast burrito was perfect. We will definitely be back next trip.

Amazing food and friendly staff. We ordered a bowl of their Mac & Cheese, and it was superb!!! I love everything about this restaurant and totally recommend this to others. They even have a bookcase full of hot sauces! From ghost pepper sause to Tapatio. No matter what floats your boat, they probably have something for you. Definitely earned a 5 star! Great place! Family friendly and affordable! You can definitely share the skillets.

The food was filling and so delicious - I had an omelette with spinach and bacon and it was huge! Our server was really friendly to our kiddos (and yes they had that amazing hot chocolate) and us. Coffee was good too! Excellent price, atmosphere, and service - will definitely return on my next visit to Orcas! ❤️
